Acupuncture The Acupuncture System is one of the three |
|
Acupuncture has been a healing modality for thousands of years. It is based on energy flow through channels called meridians. The “energy”, is written “Qi” or “Chi” and pronounced "Key" or “Chee”. Normal energy flow supports healthy, normal function of all organs and systems. The meridians are named after organs (e.g.: the Lung Meridian, the Liver Meridian) because of the close relationship between meridians and organ function. Many symptoms of all sorts can be addressed by acupuncture. These include: Pain, Fatigue, Hormonal Symptoms, Digestive Issues, even Emotional Issues to name a few. Dr. Kraskow became certified in acupuncture in 1998, becoming a Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture. A large part of his work since then has involved stimulating acupoints and working with Qi. There are several ways to assess the acupuncture system, analyzing which acupoints to stimulate. Dr. Kraskow uses several methods including Kinesiology and Computer Analysis (Asyra) to determine appropriate points. |
